Founding Chairman and Managing Partner
KY Tang founded Affinity Equity Partners in 2002, after amassing more than thirty years’ experience in the private equity and banking sectors. KY, together with other former senior partners of UBS Capital Asia Pacific, spun off and formed Affinity Equity Partners. Prior to establishing the Firm, he held leadership positions with UBS, including Chief Executive for Investment Banking, East Asia for the Union Bank of Switzerland. When the Union Bank of Switzerland and Swiss Bank Corporation were merged into UBS, he was named Chief Executive, Hong Kong for UBS Group and Head of Investment Banking, Asia for UBS Investment Bank. His last position with UBS Group was as Chairman of UBS Capital Asia Pacific.
KY holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) with first-class honours from the University of Malaya.

Queenie Ho joined the Firm in 2004 and is the Head of Investor Relations of Affinity Equity Partners. She has been instrumental in fundraising for Affinity Fund III, Fund IV and Fund V. Before joining Affinity, Queenie was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company where she advised corporate clients across Asia in financial services, retail and consumer sectors.
Queenie holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with first-class honours from the London School of Economics, a Master of Philosophy in Finance with distinction from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Charles Min joined Affinity Equity Partners in 2007 and is the Head of Affinity Equity Partners in Korea. Before joining Affinity, Charles spent four years in the Global Investment Research Team for Goldman Sachs, covering the auto, steel and shipbuilding industries in Korea. Prior to that role, he worked at the corporate advisory department of Deloitte & Touche LLP, covering the North American TMT sector.
Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a Masters of Management from the University of Toronto.

Benny Lim joined the Firm in 2011 and is the Head of Affinity Equity Partners in Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Affinity, Benny spent collectively more than 10 years in United Overseas Bank and DBS Bank, where he has developed deep relationships and wide experience in working with businesses across the region.
Benny holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Monash University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Kenneth Liu joined the Firm in 2006 and is the Head of Affinity Equity Partners in China. Before joining Affinity, Kenneth worked in the Investment Banking Division of Grant Thornton in Hong Kong where he advised clients in Greater China on cross-border M&A and other control transactions. He began his career as a software engineer and was with Amazon in Seattle until 2000.
Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Washington.

Icksoo Jung joined Affinity Equity Partners in 2010 and is a partner at the Firm. Prior to the Firm, he was an Associate at TPG Capital in Hong Kong, where he worked on transactions throughout the Asia Pacific region including Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, India and China. Icksoo began his career in the Financial Entrepreneurs Group in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup covering various financial sponsors.
Icksoo holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Finance) and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Computer Science Engineering) from the University of Pennsylvania.

Samuel Kim joined Affinity Equity Partners in 2013 and is a partner at the Firm. Prior to joining Affinity, he was an Associate at McKinsey & Company in Seoul, where he engaged in corporate restructuring, strategy development, post-merger integration projects and evaluated numerous investment opportunities.
Samuel received a BA (Honours) in Economics from Harvard University.

Michael Kim joined Affinity Equity Partners in 2013 and is a partner at the Firm. Prior to the Firm, he was a research analyst at TOR Investment Management (Hong Kong), a multi-strategy public and private investment fund, where he assessed opportunities across capital structures in Korea and Southeast Asia. Prior to that, he worked at JLL Partners, a New York-based private equity firm. He started his career as an Investment Banker with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York.
Michael received a BS in Computer Science from University of Illinois and an MBA from the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania.

Mark Chudek joined Affinity Equity Partners in 2013 and is the Head of Affinity Partners in Australia & New Zealand. He had a two-year stint at Quadrant Private Equity, a mid-market private equity firm, in 2021 before returning to the Firm in 2023. He has played an important role in the Firm’s investments both within and outside of Australia, and is a proven dealmaker, having been recognized five times on the prestigious Australian Financial Review PE Top 20 Dealmakers list since 2019. He started his career as an Investment Banker with Credit Suisse in Australia.
Mark graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) and was awarded the Highest Achieving Graduate in conjunction with being the recipient of the Vice-Chancellor’s Honours-PhD Scholarship.
